‘Canada’s Teen Jam’ offers young musicians chance to play at Wayback Festival

It's jam time!
Young musicians looking for a great opportunity to flex their talents are being given a chance to try out for 'Canada''s Teen Jam'.
Musicians between the ages of 13 to 19 are being asked to submit a video showcasing their skills for a shot at performing at the Wayback Festival in Kitchener.
Contest organizers are not looking for anything fancy when it comes to the video submissions, just simply a musician playing a song that highlights their skills.
25 submissions will be selected to be openers at the Wayback Festival.
Mark Higgins, Producer and Founder of 'Canada's Teen Jam', called the competition a platform for hope.
“When I was on stage, we had clubs to go through, because there was a tremendous amount of club life. There isn't now.” Higgins explained. “So now for them to play on this great stage, they're going to have to come to a level and bring the best out of themselves but they'll get used to performing on a stage of this magnitude.”
Higgins added that he's received a wide variety of submissions from performers of jazz, hip-hop, country and many other sounds.
Those interested in submitting a video can do so at the Canada's Team Jam website.
The Wayback Festival will be held on July 22nd.
