Freezing rain warning lifted (update)

Environment Canada has lifted a freezing rain warning for Waterloo Region.

But a special weather statement remains in place.

Rain is expected to be heavy at times on Thursday. Rainfall amounts could total between 15 and 25 mm.

Strong winds of between 60 and 80 km/h are also in the forecast.

Rain will taper to showers by this evening. At the same time, winds will start to diminish.
