Arrest made following Kitchener drug investigation

Regional police have made an arrest in connection with ongoing drug investigation in Kitchener.

The arrest was made Wednesday in the area of Lancaster Street West and Bridgeport Road East.

Officers seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine. They also found brass knuckles, an expandable baton and cash.

A 42-year-old man faces charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking (two counts), possession of suspected cocaine, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and weapons dangerous (two counts).

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
