Arrest made after attempted theft at Cambridge business

An arrest has been made in connection to an attempted theft at a business in Cambridge.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. Monday. Police responded to a break-and-enter in progress in the area of Beaverdale Road and Hespeler Road.

Officers arrested a suspect at the scene.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000, possession of break-in instruments and failure to comply with a judicial release.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
