OUA football: Golden Hawks win big in Windsor, UW drops fourth straight

The football team at Wilfrid Laurier University had a day in Windsor on Saturday.
The Golden Hawks rolled over the University of Windsor Lancers 49-11, putting the Hawks at 3 and 2 on the season.
Laurier put up 28 points in the second quarter. They would end the afternoon with 443 total yards.
Hawks quarterback Taylor Elgersma threw for three touchdowns and 221 yards. Running back Quentin Scott rushed for 155 yards and one TD.
Meantime, the University of Waterloo lost 32-24 to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues at Warrior Field, stretching UW's losing streak to four games.
That was despite UW dominating in pretty much every category on offense, but the Warriors did rack up 93 penalty yards.
UW and Laurier will now meet in the Battle of Waterloo at Warrior Field on Thursday. The game will get underway at 6 p.m.
