Hate-motivated graffiti found in Victoria Park

Police are looking into two recent incidents of hate-motivated graffiti in Kitchener's Victoria Park.

According to police, a marker was used to draw hate-motivated writing, which was located in a washroom facility near Schneider Avenue. It's believed the incident occurred between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The second incident happened sometime between Sunday evening and Monday morning. Graffiti, including hate-motivated writing and symbols, was spray-painted on a statue in the park.

Since the start of August, there have been seven reported incident of hate-related graffiti in the region. There were also five incidents throughout the month of July.
