GoFundMe set up to help former reporter in his recovery from collision

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to help a former local reporter recover from a traumatic brain injury.

Adam Jackson suffered the injury in a collision on his motorcycle on July 15.

Jackson worked as an online editor and reporter for Metroland. His work was published in newspapers including the Waterloo Chronicle and Cambridge Times.

The GoFundMe was set up by his brother-in-law.

“Adam is an incredibly kind person who, throughout his years, has touched the lives of many people. He is also strong as hell, physically (he has deadlifted 600 lbs) and in his will and determination.” Adam Nagy wrote in the post.

Nagy said Jackson is currently in intensive care in a coma — “fighting to stay with us.”

All the funds will go directly towards helping Jackson in his recovery.

As of Thursday afternoon, over $8,000 had already been raised.
