Police investigating shooting incident in Waterloo (update)
Regional police continue to investigate a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday in Waterloo.
According to the service, officers responded to the area of Larch Street and Hickory Street West around 3:25 a.m. for reports that a person had been shot.
Shortly after arrival, officers located a 21-year-old Waterloo man suffering from gunshot wounds. That man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have indicated they believe the shooting incident was targeted in nature.
Saturday saw an increased police presence in the Larch and Hickory area as detectives conducted a canvass of the area.
The investigation is still ongoing – anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
