Fire crews respond to fire at Old Marina Restaurant (update)
Fire departments responded to a fire at the Old Marina Restaurant Saturday afternoon.
There were several reports of a structure fire on McClintock Dr. in Puslinch Lake around 1:00 p.m.
Fire crews from Cambridge, North Dumfries, Puslinch and Guelph were called in to help.

The fire mainly engulfed the centre of the structure causing the roof to collapse.
The Cambridge Fire Department said no injuries we're reported.
Residents living nearby said the restaurant was full of people during the lunch time fire.
“My heart breaks for them,” said a resident only identified as Sandy. “That was their livelihood, burnt to the ground.”
Staff members were visually shaken at the scene of the fire.

Despite efforts from fire crews the blaze reduced the restaurant to charred ruins.
A GoFundMe page has been setup asking for donations in a effort to help the owners rebuild and help with costs not covered by insurance.
Thousands of dollars have already been collected with the goal set at $100,000.
The exact details of what started the fire has yet to be determined but, Puslinch fire confirmed the blaze has been ruled out as suspicious in nature.

The Old Marina Restaurant at Puslinch Lake has been destroyed. Five fire departments have been on scene since early this afternoon. No injuries reported. This is the second fire at this location this year. There was also a fire in 2005.
