GRT rolling out more hybrid buses

Another hybrid Grand River Transit bus is travelling on city streets. 

GRT announced Thursday that the first of four new hybrid vehicles would hit the road Friday. 

“The only difference you'll spot is the battery case on the roof, until our new decals are added,” read a post on social media. 

In January of last year, the Region of Waterloo announced it would no longer purchase fully-diesel buses and would instead opt for hybrid and electric GRT vehicles.
