UNZIPPED Rolling Stones exhibition gets an extended run

THEMUSEUM has announced an extension to its popular UNZIPPED Rolling Stones exhibition.

Fans who want to see it twice or those who haven't made a visit yet will now get an extra month—the show will now run until March 27.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to work so closely with The Rolling Stones team to extend these shows. This news allows visitors to travel as the weather warms and March Break approaches,” said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM

The exhibition has attracted over 40 per cent of its visitors from outside Waterloo Region, providing a boost to local hospitality, arts, and culture sectors.

In a release, THEMUSEUM said this extension is happening because of ongoing demand and the show has received high guest satisfaction, ticket, and merchandise sales since opening in November of last year.

Visitors to the show can view hundreds of objects from the rock band's personal collection, instruments and stage designs, rare audio fragments, album covers, costumes, video footage, and personal diaries.

The exhibition is also immersive, with a replica of the Stones' recording studio and a 3D experience.

The show was previously set to wrap up February 27.
