Two Cambridge females charged following sex trafficking investigation

LONDON, ON (September 10, 2021) – The London Police Human Trafficking Unit has charged three adults in relation to an investigation that began in 2020. This multijurisdictional investigation involved a collaborative effort between the London Police Service, the Waterloo Regional Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police, the Greater Sudbury Police Service, and the Guelph Police Service.

In early June, 2020, the Human Trafficking Unit undertook an investigation into the trafficking of a female victim over the course of approximately 18 months by a man that she met when she was 16 years old. The accused began to traffic the victim in the sex trade in London and elsewhere in Ontario after she had turned 18 years old. During the course of this investigation, three other victims were located and charges have been laid in relation to historical incidents reported to police.

Jordan Hawke, 29, of no fixed address, is charged with the following offences:

Shelley Hawke and Jordan Hawke appeared in London court on September 9, 2021 and were remanded into custody.

Police believe that there are other victims and are encouraging them to come forward.
