Police looking for suspect in connection with Waterloo robbery

The Waterloo Regional Police Service's Robbery Unit continues to investigate a robbery that occurred at the Uptown Waterloo Mall.
On August 10, 2021, at approximately 2:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a business within the mall located at 75 King Street South.
Through the initial investigation, police learned that an unknown female entered one of the businesses and concealed several items into her purse. A staff member attempted to confront the female suspect who assaulted them prior to leaving the mall on foot. The female was last observed walking out the east exit towards King Street South.
