Former police officer to paddle 750 km to raise funds for cardiac care

Pete Viol has another trek planned to raise funds for cardiac care at St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener.

In August, the retired Waterloo Regional Police sergeant plans to paddle 750 km in a canoe. He will complete an expansive tour of provincial waterways including the Trent Severn Waterway and the Rideau Canal System.

Last summer, Viol hiked the entire Bruce Trail. Past fundraisers have also include bike tours.
