Order of Ontario honours contributions of Waterloo’s John Colangeli

A notable community member is being recognized by the Ontario government for his exceptional achievements and contributions to society.
John Colangeli is one of 47 new appointments to the 2019 and 2020 Order of Ontario, which honours people who have played an important role in shaping the province.
Colangeli is the CEO of Lutherwood and Lutherwood Child and Family Foundation. Through his work, he has helped serve 19,000 people per year in Waterloo Region.
His organization continues to help children and youth, with a focus on mental health services.
According to the provincial government, Colangeli “envisions communities where all children, youth, adults and families experience mental wellness, financial stability and a safe place to live”.
You can now submit nominations for the 2021 list. The deadline is March 31.
