The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery unveils new fundraiser

The new fundraiser, Afternoon Tea Party at Home, will allow the gallery to support its exhibits and give people the chance to enjoy tea and treats.

Follow the success of last year's, Mad Hatter Tea Party, this event has been adapted for the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to ensure the safety of not only the participants but the staff and volunteers.

The Afternoon Tea Party kit includes a special edition teacup and saucer from Scott Barnim Pottery, tea, jam, and new this year, a 28-page cookbook that features staff favourite tea-time recipes. Presented in a reusable gift bag, supporters can also purchase additional place settings to add to their order, each one including a teacup and saucer, tea and jam.

This fundraiser will support various gallery projects like the development of a residency program in ceramics, an Interpretation and Family Learning Centre and an exhibition publication series.

During the special online event, viewers will get a virtual tour of the gallery and a behind the scenes look at the permanent Collections Vault and the Ann Roberts Archival Centre. A special Zoom presentation will start off the event on November 15th at 2:00 p.m.

Single kits are available for $75 for gallery members or $90 for non-members, with additional settings costing $50 for members and $60 for non-members. Pick up is free, and shipping will cost an additional charge.

The kits are available for purchase either by visiting the Gallery Shop or by visiting the online shop website, with pick up and shipping starting on November 10th.
