Another Kitchener splash pad to open
There will be another spot for children to cool off in Kitchener.
The city has announced that the new and improved splash pad at Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre will open on Friday, July 17.
It features a new spray tunnel, two o-shaped water tunnels as well as ground-level features such as a misty mountain and an arched water stream feature.

The other splash pads open in Kitchener are at Breithaupt Park, Chandler Mowat Community Centre, Victoria Park, McLennan Park, Centreville Chicopee and Kingsdale.
Of course due to COVID-19, physical distancing measures are in place.
Splash pads are operating at a reduced capacity from 11:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., seven days a week except for during inclement weather.
During busy periods, usage will also be limited to 15 minutes to ensure access for as many users as possible.
