Residents of a Waterloo retirement home recently received a surprise from a local organization.
On Friday, The Brain Injury Association (BIA) Waterloo-Wellington delivered cards to 120 seniors at Westhill Retirement residence.
According to a Tweet from BIA Waterloo-Wellington, all the cards were made by brain injury survivors.
Acknowledging how difficult the COVID-19 pandemic has been for seniors, BIA Waterloo-Wellington says in the Tweet to 'keep all seniors who are in long term care and other locked-in locations in your thoughts. It's hard on them!”
Shhh… These cards are being delivered to all 120 residents of the Westhill Retirement residence in Waterloo from some of our card-maker brain injury survivors!
Please keep all seniors who are in long term care and other locked-in locations in your thoughts. It's hard on them! pic.twitter.com/gV4xgjs2xz
