Fire in Kitchener now a police investigation (update)

A fire investigation in Kitchener has been turned over to Waterloo Regional Police.

The fire which is now out, broke out in a home on Briar Avenue, near Moore Avenue late Tuesday afternoon.

One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other details about the investigation have been released yet.

Waterloo Regional Police are also asking motorists to avoid the area.
