Linda and Cheyenne went missing in July of 2011. Family members reported them missing in 2015, after no one had heard from either of them for four years.
Waterloo Regional Police say they received information in connection to the investigation in August of 2015, and on August 19, 2015, Regional Police and RCMP arrested Bauman, who was living in Valleyview, Alberta.
Regional Police began searching Bauman's former home on Hessen Strasse near St. Clements, in Wellesley Township.
Weeks later, Inspector Michael Haffner with Waterloo Regional Police told 570 NEWS: “there were human remains recovered not only on the exterior of the property, but also inside as well.”
Haffner says Cheyenne was described as a “normal, 13-year old girl” and was “an avid horseback rider.”
