Waterloo Siskins triumph over Stratford Warriors

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

The Waterloo Siskins nabbed a narrow 2-1 win over the Statford Warriors in their first semi-finals match.

The visiting Siskins took the lead early on in the first period when Winston Cestnick put the first one of the game away.

It was a tied game halfway through the second when Corson Searles put the Warriors on the board.

That didn't last long though. Alex Lycett put the Siskins in the lead again with a power play goal.

The Siskins will host the Warriors tomorrow at the Waterloo Rec Complex. The game starts at 1:30 p.m.
