“We work really hard over the summer before students come to campus so they have the information they need about move in, what to bring with them, what not to bring with them. In some cases, steps they can take to make their transition a little bit more seamless,” she says.
She says that upper year students, alumni, faculty and staff as well as community partners are working together to help make the days run smoothly.
“We get a lot of help from our upper year students who are working hard to come and shlep luggage, but also plan some great programing to help our first year students get started,” said McCrae-Bristol.
The busiest times for move in with be on Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but the university district will be be busy continously thoughout the day.
