As you look online to buy tickets to Lindsey Buckingham's only Canadian concert, there are ways to make sure you're not being scammed by an online scalper.
Ticket scalpers are often reselling tickets as high as triple the retail price.
William Muir, marketing manager for the Centre in the Square, says that there are a few telltale signs that you are dealing with a ticket reseller:
1) Many resellers will advertise in US dollars; a legitimate box office will only sell in Canadian dollars.
2) Consider the method of payment; most scalpers will prefer to use PayPal.
3) Read the fine print; most scalpers will write in small font that they are not affiliated with the box office or the event venue.
Muir says if you are not sure whether an online seller is legitimate, simply give the event venue a call.
He says they will gladly help you verify ticket prices and save you from falling prey to online scalpers.
Muir says the box office is working tirelessly to make it more difficult for resellers to buy and sell tickets.
