A 65-year old man from Quebec faces Careless Driving charge after crash on HWY 401

OPP have laid a charge after Saturday’s crash on HWY 401 that closed the westbound lanes for hours.
OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says a transport truck carrying a man and woman, both from Quebec, rear-ended another transport truck Saturday morning just after 6 a.m. at HWY 6 South in Puslinch.
The driver of the second transport truck has been identified as Jacques Vaillancourt. He is being charged with one count of Careless Driving.
Both 65-year-old’s were airlifted with non life-threatening injuries.
OPP closed both eastbound and westbound lanes for an hour just after 6:30 a.m. while air ambulances arrived, however westbound lanes remained closed until 12:30 p.m.
