Al Chez Comes to Cambridge’s Dunfield Theatre

Al Chez and The Brothers of Funk Big Band will take to the stage Sunday November 3rd at the Dunfield Theatre in Cambridge.
If the name Al Chez doesn’t ring any bells, he was the long time trumpeter on The Late Show with David Letterman.
He tells 570’s Gary Doyle show that after 15 years of doing that, he wanted to focus on his own music, “I”m actually the second longest trumpet player on network television next to Doc Severinsen on the history of TV. I had a blast, but I’ve always had this passion to get out there and instead of playing somebody else’s music, go out there and get in the game and create my own music.”
Chez also spends his time speaking to students, hoping to inspire them to look into a career in the musical arts.
He spoke with students at Eastwood Collegiate during the week.
